You just closed with Atlantic Coast Mortgage, so what happens next?

Your mortgage is in the process of being transferred to another financial institution that will become your loan servicer. This transfer will occur in the next 2-4 weeks, at which time you will receive a Goodbye letter from us and a Welcome letter from your new servicer, containing their contact information. At that time, we recommend that you contact your new servicer to inquire as to their payment options and how to get set-up on automatic payments.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will I receive a payment coupon or statement?

Your payment coupons were included with your closing paperwork. There should be two ACM mortgage coupons that can be used for your first two payments to ACM.

How will I know my loan has been transferred?

When your loan is transferred, ACM will send you a Goodbye letter with information on your new servicer. You will also receive a Welcome letter from your new service provider, which will contain their contact information. If you have any questions regarding where to make your payments, please contact ACM’s Servicing Department at (866) 385-4576.

What happens if my loan is transferred and I mistakenly make a payment to Atlantic Coast Mortgage?

If ACM receives a payment that is due to the new servicer we will forward the payment the day we receive it. Due to processing, and mailing time it could take a few days for receipt and credit of the payment with the new servicer. However, under Federal Law, during the 60-day period following the effective date of the transfer of loan servicing, a loan payment received by ACM before its due date may not be treated by the new servicer as late and a late fee may not be imposed. If you have any questions, please contact ACM’s Servicing Department at (866) 385-4576.

When my loan is transferred will my insurance company be notified?

Yes. We will send your insurance company updated information so that the correct mortgage company is billed.
